Modeling since the age of 13, Niki has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Allure and every other fashion and beauty magazine you can think of. If that wasn’t enough, she’s worked in television, appeared in music videos and launched her own fragrance line — all whileraising three kids.
Over the years, she’s picked up quite a few tricks from the pros. Today, these keep the one time Cover Girl looking fresh and youthful whether she’s taking care of her 1-year-old daughter, keeping up with her 15-year-old twin sons or posing for pictures on the red carpet.
Here she opens up about how she keeps her hair looking so healthy...and how you can too!
Hair’s How: You’re famous for your shiny blonde hair, how do you keep it looking so healthy?
Niki Taylor: I swear by Moroccan Oil. Put it on after washing your hair and comb through so it gets to all of the hair. The results are amazing. Every time I use it my hair looks like I have been to the salon!
HH: What arve some of the main-tenance problems you’ve run into?
NT: Hard water has been the big-gest problem. I even had to geta water softener for my home because the hard water changes the color of blondee.
HH: What is your daily hair care routine?
NT: If I’m not working, I try to go as long as I can without washing it.My favorite look is to curl it with hot rollers and then leave it looseand natural.
HH: Do you style your own hair or does a stylist do it?
NT: When I’m working, a stylist does it. But it’s all me when I am home.
HH: What are your daytime make-up essentials?
NT: A little airbrush base along with Air Flash by Dior to even out red spots and under eyes. I also curl my lashes and use Dazzle Glass by Mac for my lips.
HH: vWhat are your must-have cosmetics to achieve a striking evening look?
NT: I’m a huge fan of Sue Devitt.I use her eye liner, mascara, lipstick and blush.
HH: Over the years, what has been your favorite hairstyle?
NT: If you’re asking which one is my personal favorite, I like it pulled by back my face. It’s easy and always looks fresh.
HH: If you could change anything about your look or your beauty regimen, what would it be?
NT: I would have always taken care of myself like I do now, even in my 20s.
HH: Who are some women whose hair and make-up you admire?
NT: Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington and all of the girls thatI grew up with and admire.
