California's springtime "Welcome to Our World" (W.O.W.) event, which is held in Sacramento, has become an institution for California legislators and regulators.
The annual event lured legislators, staffers, administration and state board officials, as well as beauty industry VIPs.
Once again, the steps of the State Capitol building buzzed with more than 350 individual salons/spa services and canapés, which hosted lots of conversations that centered around beauty.
The Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) and its industry sponsors have made W.O.W. a relevant and critical awareness-building tool for educating state policymakers and regulators on current issues of concern to California's beauty industry.
This year's sponsors included Fantastic Sams (Platinum); Creative Nail Design, Marinello Schools of Beauty, and OPI (Gold); Farouk Systems, Federico Beauty Institute, Salon Success Academies, and SportClips (Silver); and Cengage/Milady Publishing, and NuFree (Bronze).
