World-renowned for its volumizing products packaged in the iconic “big red cans,” Sexy Hair went pink in an effort to commemorate breast cancer awareness month. It partnered with stylists for a nationwide cut-a-thon on October 10th, which benefitted the company’s philanthropic partner Look Good Feel Better (LGFB). More than $110,000 was raised for the self-help beauty charity dedicated to helping improve the self-image of cancer patients.
"Like hairstylists, Sexy Hair is passionate about making people look and feel confident about themselves so it’s only natural that we would partner with these generous groups of professionals to raise hope and funds for an organization that does so much for those dealing with the negative side effects of cancer treatment," said Karl Heinz Pitsch, president and CEO for Sexy Hair. "Considering this was our first ever Cut-A-Thon, we are extremely proud of the level of participation and the amount of money that was raised."
Since 2011, Sexy Hair has raised over $425,000 for Look Good Feel Better through various philanthropic activities including employee walkathons, warehouse sales and the donation of a portion of the net proceeds from the sale of its limited edition "pink" cans in October.
