Papanikolas on the Move


Celebrity hairstylist George Papanikolas, renowned for transforming the haircolor of Hollywood luminaries, has joined the Matrix team. According to VP/ Matrix General Manager Paul Schiraldi, Papanikolas will bring his talent for creating “must-have” trends for his vast and impressive roster of celebrity clients to the Matrix family, enabling fellow stylists and loyal Matrix customers to get sneak peeks, first looks and insider information instantly.

As a highly esteemed hair expert, Papanikolas recently had a hand in creating the color transformation for Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell. His celebrity clientele includes many of Hollywood’s trendy young “It” girls, including Miranda Kerr, Megan Fox, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Stroup, Minka Kelly, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Maria Menounos, Hannah Simone, Miley Cyrus and Hayden Panettiere.

Papanikolas is also the creative talent behind Britney Spears’ photo-worthy locks. During her worldwide Circus Tour, Papanikolas traveled with her talented team. He also created the looks for Spears when she was spotlighted in the Candies advertising campaign. His celebrity clients have flaunted his topnotch haircolor on the covers of glossy fashion magazines such as Cosmopolitan, ELLE, InStyle, Lucky and Allure and for campaigns for Guess and Lee. InStyle, Allure, and People Magazine have credited Papanikolas as one of the country’s top colorists.

When not jetsetting for a specific project, the bi-coastal color specialist can be found in West Hollywood at the Andy Lecompte Salon and in New York City’s posh Rita Hazan Salon. As a testament to his global reach and impressive skillset, Papanikolas has been invited as a guest colorist at one of Dubai’s topnotch salons as well.
