New Hire at Sam Villa
Sam Villa, Founding Partner of Sam Villa and Redken Education Artistic Director, welcomes Geneva Cowen to the Sam Villa Tribe. Cowen joins the team as Artistic Director.
With over two decades of hairdressing experience and fifteen years as a Redken Artist, Cowen is regarded as a master colorist. For the last decade, she expanded into the world of finishing, finding her love for the art of runway and editorial work.
After winning three national haircolor awards and being published dozens of times in the industry’s top magazines, Cowen has proven herself amongst her peers and has used her experience and creativity to inspire hairdressers worldwide. For the last 4 years, Cowen and Villa have collaborated on Sam Villa editorial and continue to dedicate their careers to influencing salon professionals.
As a salon owner and educator based in Anchorage, Alaska, Cowen is passionate about teaching stylists that it does not need to cost a fortune and they do not need to be from a large urban area to achieve their goals.
“Big things happen in small places everyday. You can be artistic, have a creative outlet, do beautiful work and get noticed wherever you are,” explains Cowen. She believes the key is being proactive, disciplined, patient, and working hard to master your craft.
