Bobbing for Haircuts

Is that cut looking a little shaggy? We didn't want to say anything, but it's time to be blunt. Literally. And this sleek, straight look isn't as cut and dried as you may think. Richard Marin, a stylist at L.A.'s Cloutier Remix agency, who has worked on the famous bobs of Christina Ricci, Lisa Kudrow and Jodie Foster, warns: "You need to evaluate your features before getting this cut."

Marin says, "A one-length bob can fall anywhere from the earlobe to the shoulder." The length you should choose is determined by your face shape. "If you have a round face, you need to wear it longer—anywhere past the jaw to the shoulder." Those with a long face "should go with a shorter bob: chin length or above."
