Adhesive Extensions

Vivienne Mackinder, founder of HairDesignerTV.com, recently leveraged her legendary hairdressing skills to create the first Simplicity photo shoot. News! Mackinder reports that she loved the quick process and results so much that a few days later, she used Simplicity tape-in extensions for her presentation at Intercoiffure America • Canada in Miami. "It only took 45 minutes to apply a full-head of extensions to each model," she relates. "Plus, the hair quality is absolutely gorgeous."

Simplicity, a brand-new tape-in system, is only a few months old in terms of salon availability, but the actual patented process was created several years ago by Okyo Sthair, inventor and now Simplicity VP. Touted as a lunch-hour service, Simplicity extensions are easy to master, do not require anything more than special tape to secure, and reportedly last as long as bonded extension methods.

"The tape, which lays flat to the head, is undetectable to the eye once the hair is styled and is extremely comfortable, even when sleeping," reports Sthair. "The five ladies that we used for the Simplicity shoot are veteran models who’ve had every kind of extension put in their hair for the camera," adds Mackinder.

"For the first time in my career as a photo artist, all five models requested to keep them in their hair after we had wrapped our photo session." (TressAllure.com)
