HOT captures some of the beauty magic that was whirling around backstage during the Ports 1961 show in New York City.

Ports 1961

Models at the Ports 1961 runway show flaunted understated elegant clothing with a classic American aesthetic. To complement the collection, a two-textured hair look was created-wet on top and dry toward the ends.

"Ports 1961 is a classic American sportswear line and this look is quite strong, accentuating the modern feel without feeling over-girly," says Guido, creative consultant, Redken. "The point is that it has no real period reference, leaving a pure, austere and even masculine impression."

To create these styles, Guido used Redken's Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion, Hardwear 16 Super-strong Sculpting Gel and Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray.

In this special Fashion Week coverage, HOT reports on the natural beauty that captivated audiences at the Rag+Bone show.

Rag+Bone

Redken's creative director Guido crafted many of the cool beauty looks that were shown at the Rag+Bone show. A natural, bobbed hairstyle dominated the runways-a nod to the style of the rave culture prevalent in the mid-90's in London.

"The key to this look is the bob effect and controlling the ease of natural texture," says Guido. "Women are sometimes afraid to have their hair messy. Products and hot tools help control this natural texture. Most designers want an ease to the hair. Ease looks glamorous, which is what we created." Guido's secret ingredient was Redken's Satinwear 02 Ultimate Blow-dry Lotion.

HOT provides a close-up look at the beauty and fashion looks that dominated the runways at the Lanvin show.

Lanvin

To complement Lanvin's dark, chic, and ultra-modern looks for Spring/Summer 2012, tough, strong, rocker-like hair looks were created. Guido yearned to bring a wet, tough, street-ish look to the hair.

"It's a nice juxtaposition with the sexy, bejeweled and glamorous clothing. The hair is overly shiny with a lot of control to give a tough look that's very sexy, but nonchalant at the same time," says Guido. The star stylist used Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray and Shine Flash 02 Glistening Mist to create the street-inspired styles.

HOT reports on the elegant beauty being created backstage at the Alexander Wang show.

Alexander Wang

Alexander Wang's runway collection was designed for the nonchalant yet elegant downtown woman. Guido chose a natural, effortless high-shine hairstyle for Alexander Wang's show. "This is a very natural look that a girl could very easily achieve herself. It's got that 'just out of the shower' feel to it, and I think it's very chic to have a wet hair look when fully dressed in amazing clothes, like Alexander Wang," says Guido. "The very trendy, fabulous clothes in this collection paired with the effortless hair makes for a very cool finished look." Guido used Redken's Full Frame 07 All-over Volumizing Mousse and All Soft Argan-6 Multi-Care Oil to craft this easy, cool look.
