Artistic Ego

Although he's the Vice President and Director of Education for Artego USA, Curtis Brown is also a master salon colorist who has been pleasing clients west of the Mississippi for many years.

"I originally chose to work with Artego—which is short for Artistic Ego-because I really loved the shine, richness and long-lasting results that I was able to achieve on clients. Since then, I’ve learned so much about the company, the amazing opportunities that it offers and the nuances in its formulations that make it unlike any other brand on the market.

Artego is an international company with headquarters - including an advanced color academy—in Rome.

In 2013, I'll be taking advanced American colorists to the Artego Academy in February, March and September, where they'll study under Italian masters for five days.

It's an incredible experience that deals with color A to Z, including the European method for balayage applications. It's also a fabulous opportunity for networking with other stylists from around the world and to enjoy social activities in and around this historic city.

From a formulation standpoint, Artego has many unique features and products.

The color line, for instance, has a custom-formulated base for each shade.

This is far different than most brands, which adhere to either a blue-violet or brown base.

Our point of difference is important, because targeted bases allow you to achieve results that flatter clients' complexions and make them look younger and more refreshed."
