Whose the cream of the crop when it comes to lash artistry? NovaLash unveiled the talented winners of its annual LashOff Competition-an eyelash extension competition that is now in its third year. The honor of being named "winner" puts two lucky lashionistas on the beauty map. For 2014, Karlene Smith, owner of Lifestyles Massage and Skin Care in Bellingham, Wash., has been named Lash Artist of the Year. Her success was due to her dedication to a superior NovaLash application technique and a great "eye" for what makes extensions so elegant and feminine. Smith will receive some $10,000 in premium prizes and press opportunities such as a featured spot on NovaLash's much-clicked "Find a Stylist" page.
Bianca Martinez, proprietor of Yuma, Ariz. was also awarded a title. The lash-tastic Martinez was selected as the Fan Favorite-a Facebook-based contest that allowed eyelash-extraordinaires everywhere to vote for their favorite before and after lash extension photos. As the Fan Favorite, Martinez is entitled to her own package of prizes, valued at $5,000, and includes NovaLash products for use in her work.
