Nelson's Salon is tucked away in an exclusive section of Beverly Hills, California. His clientele list includes: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Heather Graham and Alicia Silverstone among others. Nelson works with a public relations agency to help him develop his career agenda in many aspects. One of those ways is to introduce him to high profile and celebrity clients. I was very interested to learn how that works because most of the stylists I know don't realize that we all need help to expose our talents to the people who appreciate them the most.
Yes that's HIS REAL NAME! I met Jeff about 3 years ago at a distributors Power Breakfast. There were about 20 people in attendance but Jeff stood out, first he's tall, then he has a long beard, then he has a long pony tail, then he has a long history in the Beauty Profession as a "nice guy", I vote for the nice guy tag too. Jeff is currently an Educator for ALTERNA and he owns and operates a 25+ station Award winning Salon in Aliso Viejo CA. Jeff helped me give a class at COBA a Beauty College in Orange CA and I had a chance to find out a lot more about this talented and artistic business like person. We sat down in his Salon and started to talk.

You may not have heard his name before, but Halle Berry, Tyra Banks, and others know him by his artistic abilities. Along with Victor Hugo ValVerde and Samvel Bourounsouzian, Neeko is co-owner of Sessions, a 6,000 square foot salonin Old Town Pasadena, Ca. The trio´s philosophy is that education is the way to help the staff stay creative and informed about how to best serve their clientele. Neeko has a confident yet humble personality.He´s someone you feel you can talk to and is really listening to you. Let´s listen to him.

They represent JOICO as International Artistic Directors traveling the world and sharing their talents. It was inspiring to see that people who have totally “made-it” are still down-to-earth.
