Limited edition art arrives on the spaand salon scenes.

Tired of the same old post-ers hanging on your walls? Join the crowd. Or better yet, take a look-see at some of the gor-geous new Art Beautique offerings(ArtBeautique.com) that include spa and beauty images, as well as land-scapes, cityscapes, artsy animal shots and more. “Too many spa and salon owners want to invest in quality artwork; too many can’t find the right pieces to hang on their walls,” explains  President Larry Oskin. Digi-tally enhanced to resemble paintings, Art Beautique’s wall hangings are signed, limited editions that just may increase in value—at least if Oskin has any say in the matter! 

Currently, Oskin is best known as the president of Marketing Solutions, a marketing and public relations firm with clients ranging from profession-al beauty and spa manufacturers to individual salon and spa businesses. But like so many creative types in our industry, Oskin is also a gifted artist. “I was a child art prodigy,” he admits with a blush. “I had my first gallery showing when I was seven. As an adult, my work has been shown in national and international art galleries, including the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in New York.’’Oskin’s brain is also ambidextrous. Deftly mixing business with art, he has served as a marketing vice-president for three national salon chains—including the Regis Corporation—and has been an art marketer for famous artists such as Peter Max, Erte´, Norman Rockwell, and Marcel Mouly, to name just a few. Did we mention that he’s also an obsessed art collector?

“My goal for my new endeavor will be to offer affordable, limited-edition artwork created on archival paper and canvas,” notes Oskin. “Unframed prices will range from just $350 to $500, making fine art available to all beauty and spa busi-nesses. At the moment, I’m focusing most of my energies on spa art, but have some hair-centric pieces as well. By mid-2011, we’re planning on having many more beauty images in our virtual art gallery.”Does this mean that Marketing Solu-tions will go away? “Not on your life!” Oskin exclaims. “It’s simply a new business venture that fits nicely with our current portfolio for spa and salon businesses.”
