Before offering clients new spring hair designs, check out how Caey assesses and establishes goals.

• My ultimate goal for every client is to create a design that immediately makes her look refreshed and reinvigorated.
• Instead of immediately focusing on her hair, I scan upward from her feet, searching for clues about her personal brand of beauty and fashion and even her lifestyle.
• I study her face shape; I always work toward making the face more oval.
• Every look that I create must be easy to maintain—at least in its simplest form.
• I envision the perimeter design and carefully plan the silhouette.
• I decide on the appropriate cutting techniques that I will use to achieve my design goal.
• The styling products that I use are thoughtfully selected and just as carefully explained to my client: how I’m using certain products and why.
